my hat's off...

Okay, after having my grandsons, ages 4 and 6, completely to myself for the weekend, all I have to say is that my hat's completely off to all you Mom's and Dad's out there! Well, I say completely to myself, but that's not true cus Chad was here and he helped out some after he saw I was ready to have a mental breakdown LOL I don't think it would have been so bad if I hadn't of already been so worn down from being sick for 2 1/2 weeks and stressed out from work, but that's neither here nor there.

Even though the kiddos live with us full time, so do my daughter and her husband, so I don't have responsibility for their well-being 24/7, only for small smidgens of time here and there every once in a while. Other than that, I just get the fun stuff, so I forget what it's like, and all I have to say is that I will be very happy when my daughter walks back through that front door and they go running to her telling her how much they miss her! lol
All that being said, I do hope they have had a wonderful weekend away. They spent one night in New Jersey, and another in Reading and were going to go see Reba in concert, something Nicole has wanted to do since she was little. They got portraits done at Glamour shots, and let me just say that it's nothing like it used to be back in the day when they would fix you up with big hair and tons of makeup, remember that? LOL They stopped in for a bit and I saw the proofs and am really impressed!
So anyway, I hope they had a fantastic time together celebrating their first anniversary!!! Bryan will be leaving to TX for school in a couple weeks and they will be apart for several weeks, so I'm glad they had these few days alone together.
Wow, I can't believe how quickly this year has passed, can you believe that soon it will be Thanksgiving, and then before you know it Christmas?! I feel like I haven't had a second to stop and really take this season in yet... So before all of the leaves fall off of the trees I was able to get a couple shots with my trusty little Kodak EasyShare c533.
The first one was taken from the porch at work...
Look how quickly things change, just a few days ago the trees were still pretty green and now many of them don't even have leaves.
Well, I hear the hooligans so I'd better go for now, but hope to catch up a little more later...
Hope you're all having a stress-free weekend!
Tiff

Hey, Tiff. thanks for the comment on the hair. No one except one of my daughters likes it, in person. Now I'm afraid everyone will think I posted just to get compliments, but really, I had nothing else to post! You sound like a wonderful grandmother. It was a great sacrifice of love, considering how tired you have been. Blessings, Linda

OK, you TOTALLY don't look old enough to be a grandma! :)

Love the autumn pics...I had the same idea and posted some I took in my neighborhood yesterday.

Have a great week!

Ok, I am seriously jealous that you have grandkids to love on and leaves that are changing colors to say that Fall is here.
Hope you had fun with those little rascals and you're feeling better.
